A vintage handmade rectangle by Ito Gekkou, painted in soft cobalt sometsuke with a village scene of rooftops, pines, and a pavilion beneath distant mountains. A painted geometric band rings the rim, and the feet are painted to match.
Two drainage holes. Nail signature.
Ito Gekkou is known for finely detailed sometsuke painting — entire landscapes of mountains, water, and village life brushed in cobalt blue across small porcelain pots.
