Bigei | Tokoname, Japan | Unglazed | Round | 3½" diameter × 1½" H
A crisp little drum: straight walls with a rolled rim and a raised band around the waist, in fine red Tokoname clay. Underneath, a recessed foot ring is cut into four feet, with one large center drainage hole, three tie-down holes and the kiln chop on the foot. Bigei is especially respected for shohin work.
🌳 Pairs well with: a small juniper, a shohin pine, or a mame accent.
