Details
π 7.5" x 6" | Low-profile jita | Figured burl wood
A striking natural-form display board carved from a single piece of burl. The top is flat and smooth with bold, swirling burl figure under a deep glossy finish. Around the edge, the wood is carved into a pierced, flowing root form, so the board looks like it grew rather than was cut. Underneath, the hollowed base carries the maker's signature in a raised cartouche.
A jita like this sets a natural, literati tone. It suits a shohin tree, a kusamono or accent planting, or a suiseki where a formal stand would feel too stiff.
Condition: Clean and solid with a bright, even finish. No cracks or breaks.
Lot BD99-025. One of a kind. Also offered in the Bonsai Den 99 Cent auction on Facebook.
