Details
Fuka (FuKou 風香) | Japan | Glazed | Round | Drip Glaze
A round from Fuka - nephew of Fukushige Bushuan - in a wild drip glaze: turquoise and teal crystals bleeding down over an amber-rust ground, breaking to a golden band at the flared rim. Cloud feet, a stamped round chop underneath, glazed outside with an unglazed cream interior. Drainage hole plus tie-down holes.
The Bushuan family glaze DNA is obvious - bold and outlandish, yet classical. Fuka earned his own spotlight with a Gold award at the 2020 Kobachi exhibition, and pots like this show why. At 5.5 inches across and 3 inches deep it is a shohin-to-chuhin round; the blue-green fire loves conifers and broadleaf evergreens, and it will make fall color explode.
5.5 inch dia x 3 inch H. Signed. One of a kind.
