Fukushige Bushuan Vintage Round Green Drip Glaze Bonsai Pot

Bushuan (Fukushige) | Japan | Glazed | Round | Green, heavy drip glaze, Pronged feet, Flat inverted Rim

This Fukushige Bushuan round is one of those pots that stops you mid-scroll. The green glaze is applied heavy — really heavy — and it runs hard over the flat inverted rim in thick, slow-looking drips that freeze just before they go too far. It's an unconventional glaze application even by Bushuan standards, and that's exactly what makes it stand out. The color and movement here aren't what you expect from a typical green studio pot, and the combination of that drip behavior with the flat inverted rim creates a visual tension that works surprisingly well with the right composition.

Structurally, the pot carries pronged feet that lift it cleanly and give it a little presence on the display stand. The inverted rim is flat and deliberate — not a casual detail. At roughly 5.5" in circumference, this sits in shohin territory and would suit a smaller informal upright or something with a little dramatic character to match the glaze. The pot is hand signed by Fukushige rather than chop-marked, which is worth noting for provenance. Priced at $649.99.
