π 20.5" L x 11.5" W x 5.5" H | Low scroll stand | Dark hardwood | Made in Japan
A single board of figured hardwood bent into an unbroken scroll, with both ends rolling under to form the feet. The flat top shows warm, open grain under a satin finish, and the curls deepen to a near-black brown. No joints, legs or carving, just one clean continuous line. The maker's seal is stamped underneath.
π³ Perfect for: a medium tree in a long or oval pot, a literati or windswept tree, a kusamono or accent planting, or a suiseki. Its simple form suits a modern or minimalist display.
Condition: Solid, sits flat. Light surface scratches on the top and a small scuff on one curled edge from handling. Maker's seal underneath.
Lot BD99-042. One of a kind. Also offered in the Bonsai Den 99 Cent auction on Facebook.
