Kiln-Annealed Copper Bonsai Wire — 8-Roll Gauge Set (#6–#20 AWG)
Details
Copper holds a bend the way aluminum never quite manages — it work-hardens right where you place it, so the branch stays put instead of springing back overnight. This is unused, 99.9% pure copper wire, kiln-annealed dead-soft, one roll of each of eight gauges from #6 down to #20 AWG.
Annealing is what makes copper usable in the first place — straight off the spool it's too stiff to wrap cleanly. This wire is kiln-annealed slowly, averaging about four hours per batch, which minimizes hard spots and all but eliminates the risk of burning the wire during the process. The result is a consistently soft, high-quality temper from the heaviest gauge in the set to the finest. One box, and you're covered from trunk to twig.
Features
- Eight rolls, one of each gauge: #6 AWG (20'), #8 AWG (25'), #10 AWG (35'), #12 AWG (50'), #14 AWG (50'), #16 AWG (50'), #18 AWG (50'), #20 AWG (50')
- 99.9% pure copper, unused
- Kiln-annealed dead-soft — minimizes hard spots, avoids burnt wire
- Consistent temper across the full gauge range
Perfect For
- Conifers and pines, where copper's holding power outperforms aluminum
- Growers who want one set that covers everything from thick structural branches to fine twig work
- Serious styling sessions where you need the wire to hold its set, not just look tidy going on
Wear eye protection when unwinding and bending this wire — the black oxidation scale from annealing is known to pop off during bending.
