Details
Suzuki Suzan | Japan | Unglazed | Drum | nail head, incised corner, flat rim
Suzuki Suzan pieces are hard enough to find — a chop-marked example in this drum form is genuinely rare, and Eric flagged it that way for a reason. The pot is unglazed, letting the clay body carry all the weight, and the hand-placed rivets and incised corner detail tell you this wasn't a production afterthought. The nail head is clean and intentional. Flat rim, honest construction throughout.
The circumference runs 11.5". The chop mark is clear. If you've been hunting for a Suzan with documentation and presence, this one checks the boxes.
Size: 11.5" circumference
