Details
A Yamaaki rectangle, nail signed and stamped with the kiln's chop. The unglazed grey clay is worked with combed, bark-like striations and a smoothed panel on the long side, so the walls read like weathered timber, and the base carries the same wood-grain combing. The long sides curve gently inward, and the body stands on four squared feet cut from the corners.
The pot measures 15 by 10.5 inches and 4 inches deep. Two large and two small drainage holes pierce the base, which is marked with the chop and nail signature. Light interior staining.
