Details
Ishida Shoseki (1st Generation), Shoseki kiln | Round | Glazed go-sai porcelain | Handmade
A vintage handmade round by Ishida Shoseki, first generation of the Shoseki kiln, painted in go-sai five-color enamel with a continuous scene of children playing — spinning tops and games beneath distant mountains. The painting wraps the whole pot, even the bottom is decorated and painted, and the pot stands on carved feet. An unusually large example of its kind.
Nail signature.
Size: 7" diameter × 4" deep — medium
