Details
Ito Gekkou | Rectangle | Glazed sometsuke porcelain | Handmade
A vintage handmade rectangle by Ito Gekkou, painted in deep cobalt sometsuke with a dense landscape of trees, a house, and distant mountains. The flared rim carries a hand-painted spiral scroll border, and the pot stands on bordered step-cut feet painted with scrollwork.
Two drainage holes. Nail signature.
Ito Gekkou is known for finely detailed sometsuke painting — entire landscapes of mountains, water, and village life brushed in cobalt blue across small porcelain pots.
Size: 5.5" long × 4.5" wide × 1.5" deep — mame
